The Dukan Diet and me!

I don’t diet ever, at all, never, nada!

However, I read about this eating regimen called The Dukan Diet for reducing fat (and weight) and keeping the fat and weight off permanently. I read the book, liked what I read and thought I would give it a go.

Hey, when I started I was not obese. I had a spare tyre around my middle and a fat tummy that I couldn’t get rid of no matter how many sit ups I did. I worked out my BMI (body mass index) and realised to be in the right zone I had to lose between 10 and 12 kilos.

The Dukan Diet looked like a way to finally get rid of the surplus fat I have accumulated. I already exercise heaps. I eat healthy food. However, there’s a catch. I love entertaining, having a glass or two of wine or other alcoholic beverage and well, love a good meal with friends or family. And most of my friends are like me. We don’t want to live a Spartan existence to achieve our fit, fab bodies. So I asked the question: can the principles of the Dukan Diet be modified to suit people who don’t want to give up their social life?

Can it be done? Slim and social? Look fab while still having fun? That’s what I’m going to find out.
